Hawaii

I have a friend in Hawai'i who seemed to survive fine during the earthquake. In fact she's glad the tourists fled.

She wrote: "how come they dont report on the devastation caused by the american military on the island...."

I wrote: bc silly, we are too busy conquering other countries to give a rat's ass about hawai'i

Write me a grant or I'll write my own grant to go there...re. gardless of the earthquakes...

My Ideal Job

would be scowering the web and TV for news clips or
editing video clips for Comedy Central's Jon Stewart
and Stephen Cobert's shows.
I might find it hell working there,
but it seems I waste a lot of time watching them on line.

I suspect that when Amanda Cook's children
have children of their own,
they are probably going to be born
with a computer chip inside their head.

Which sounds frightening, but lately
it's been a: "hey, take your laptop
with you" kind of week, and that's frightening.

Back to unemployment

which I am weirdly glad about bc that meant I was home in the apt when water started leaking from the ceiling in the kitchen. I had just finished grinding coffee beans. Had I been using the grinder approx a few minutes later I might have been electrocuted. The thought of that doesn't make me happy. But I'm glad I was home to fix the situation, than come home at nine at night and wonder what happened.

It's no wonder people medicate themselves.
